Complete NSCAA Women's All-West Region Team

Jorgens, who was named a second-team All-America by the NSCAA yesterday, and classmante Falcone were each named to the NSCAA All-West Region first-team. Jorgens was selected as the 2012 SCAC Offensive Player-of-the-Year and was a First Team All-SCAC performer as well as being named to the SCAC All-Tournament team this year. Jorgens was a first-team NSCAA All-Region selection a year ago.

She was the catalyst for the Tiger offense as she led the league in assists (18), assists per game (1.00) and game-winning goals (4). She ranked second in the SCAC in a host of categories including points (34), points per game (1.89), shots (69) and shots per game (3.83). Jorgens was sixth in the league with eight goals (0.44 per game).

A second team All-SCAC selection last season, Jorgens is the fourth consecutive Trinity player to be named the league's Offensive Player-of-the-Year (Brianna Young 2009 Abigail Loar 2010-2011).

Falcone was a first-team All-SCAC honoree. She ranked among the SCAC leaders in a host of statistical categories including shots (82 - first), goals (12 - second), assists (nine - second) and points (1.74 - third). Falcone was the SCAC Offensive Player-of-the-Week in Week 1 and earned SCAC All-Tournament team honors this season.

Katie Garrett, a senior goalkeeper who was named to the All-West second-team, led the SCAC in goals against average (0.57) and save percentage (.827). She played in all 19 games for the Tigers, including 12 starts, and ranked fifth in the conference with 43 saves (2.26 per game). Garrett became just the second goalkeeper to be named the SCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Year since the award was first recognized in  2003 and only the third goalkeeper in league history to be named either Player-of-the-Year or Defensive Player-of-the-Year.

She was a prime reason the Tigers won 13 of their 15 games via shutouts in 2012. In addition to being named SCAC Defensive Player, Garrett was named to the All-SCAC first-team.

Kirby Peddicord, a sophomore defender, anchored a Trinity defense that allowed just 10 goals in 19 games (0.53 goals allowed per game) in being named a second-team All-West honoree. Peddicord and the Tiger defense won 13 of their 15 games via shutouts and rattled off four consecutive shutouts from Oct. 26 through Nov. 10. On the season, Peddicord tallied one assist and 15 shots (four of which were on goal).

Junior forward Shelby Guenthardt was named to the All-West second-team after leading the league in goals (20), goals per game (1.18), points (42) and points per game (2.47). She was a first-team All-SCAC selection as well as an SCAC All-Tournament team honoree.

Guenthardt had a successful postseason. In four postseason games (SCAC & NCAA tournaments), she totaled five goals (two multi-goal games), one assist, 11 points and one game-winning goal.

Lindsey Euers, a senior midfielder, earned third-team All-West region honors. In 16 games played, the Austin, Texas native totaled one goal, one assist and three points. She also tallied 12 shots, 10 of which were on goal.
