LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Colorado College is the lone unbeaten men's lacrosse team in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference early on in the 2013 season. The Tigers opened up the season with two wins in North Carolina.

Centenary fell in its home opener of the season
23-4 verses Hendrix College Saturday. The Gents (0-2) dropped their
second in row, while Hendrix (1-3) earned its first victory of the
year to haut a three game slide. Colton Cowley led the Maroon and
White offensively with 3 goals on the day. Noel Veneracion also
netted a goal in the defeat. Matt Letcher took the loss playing all
60 minutes at goalie and picked up 19 saves. Centenary returns to
action on Friday, Mar. 1 at Southwestern.
Senior midfielder Charles Curtis struck for the game-winning goal
with 11 seconds remaining in the second overtime to give
Colorado College a 10-9 victory in its season
opener at Greensboro College on Friday afternoon. Junior defenseman
Scott Prior set up the winning possession when he forced a turnover
near the Tigers' cage with 53 seconds to play. The Pride nearly
regained possession with less than 20 ticks left on the clock, but
Curtis grabbed the loose ball and unleashed the deciding shot three
seconds later from eight yards out. Curtis sent the game to
overtime when he scored his first goal of the contest with 6:03
remaining in the fourth quarter. Sophomore midfielder Taylor Paul
also had a pair of goals for CC. Freshman goaltender Chase Murphy
made 16 saves in his collegiate debut. Colorado College exploded
for six goals during the first period and hung on for an 11-8
victory at Guilford College on Sunday. Kreitler paced the Tigers'
attack with three goals, including a pair during the opening frame.
His second tally put CC ahead 4-0 with 2:35 remaining in the first
quarter, then Halle and junior attackman Tyler Allen struck during
the final two minutes to give the Tigers what appeared to be in
insurmountable six-point lead. Colorado College drives to Grand
Junction, Colo., to play Colorado Mesa University in its only game
of the week on Saturday, March 2.
Dallas (0-1) began its 2013 season with a 15-6
loss to Millsaps on Saturday afternoon in Jackson, Miss. Tony Lemos
registered two goals and an assist in defeat, while Alex Ziolkowski
and Cody Wooten also scored for the Crusaders. Ryan Murphy made 19
saves in his first start, and the Majors managed 44 shots. Head
coach Jeff Guy's squad is idle until March 9, when Dallas hosts
Regis College (Mass.).
