MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Colorado College junior guard Ryan Milne was selected to the 2012-13 D3hoops.com All-West Region team, the website announced this morning.
The Phoenix, Ariz. native was named to the second team and was the only Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) men's basketball student-athlete named to the team.
Milne helped lead the Tigers to the school's first-ever win in the SCAC tournament enroute to an SCAC championship game appearance where the Tigers fell to Trinity University 60-55 in overtime.
Milne was a first-team All-SCAC selection and ranked among the league leaders in a number of statistical categories. He led the SCAC with 4.63 assists/game, was second in free throw percenteage (84.4 percent). Milne ranked third in the SCAC in assist/turnover ratio (1.67), fourth in 3-point field goal percentage (30.2 percent), fifth in scoring (14.4 points/game) and seventh in steals (1.11/game).
In addition to being an All-SCAC and D3hoops.com All-Region selection, Milne was named to the 2013 SCAC Men's Basketball All-Tournament team. In two tournament games, Milne averaged 16.5 points/game, six rebounds/game, five assists/game, one steal/game and had a 2.5 assist to turnover ratio.
