KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Trinity (Texas) University retained the No. 1 ranking in the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III top 25 poll for week seven while. Colorado College moved up two spots to 22nd this week.
The Tigers beat Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Austin College, 6-2 before finishing the weekend SCAC sweep with a 7-0 victory over Centenary College.
Thanks to its two a 3-0 win over UC-Santa Cruz and its 0-0 draw with SCAC foe University of Dallas last week, the Colorado College Tigers moved up two spots in the NSCAA Top 25 poll this week. Colorado College checked in at 22nd.
In the D3soccer.com top 25 poll, Trinity remained No. 1 for a fourth consecutive week. Colorado College is among other teams receiving votes in the D3soccer.com poll this week.
Trinity and Colorado College are a combined 17-1-2 in their last 20 matches.
With the its 2-0-0 week last week, Trinity improved to 14-0-1 and 7-0-0 in SCAC play on the season. The Tigers return to action on Oct. 19 and 21 when they travel to SCAC foes, Colorado College and Dallas, respectively.
The Colorado College Tigers are now 11-3-1 overall and 4-1-1 in SCAC competition. Colorado College returns to action on Oct. 19 and 21 when they host Trinity and Southwestern University, respectively.
