KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Colorado College men's soccer team received the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) Team Academic Award, the organization announced.
Colorado College maintained a 3.34 grade point average. The Tigers were the lone SCAC men's soccer team to earn the award.
The NSCAA annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the pitch.
A total of 717 college soccer teams (220 men, 497 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2011-12 academic year.
