Trinity takes over top spot in NSCAA/Continental Tire Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Trinity (Texas) University, fresh off its season opening win over ninth-ranked Texas-Tyler,  moved to the top spot of the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III top 25 poll.

The Tigers beat the UT-Tyler Patriots 4-1 on Friday before they added wins over Mississippi College (4-0) and Willamette University (3-2 in overtime).

With the victories, Trinity improved to 3-0 to start the 2012 season. It marks the first time a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer team has been ranked since No. 1 since Trinity found themselves in the top spot in the first week of the 2011 season.
