Colorado College 18th; Southwestern 22nd in AVCA national rankings

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Colorado College jumped two spots to 18th while Southwestern University jumped up one spot to 22nd in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) top 25 rankings for week seven of the 2012 season.

The Tigers, who last week were ranked 20th in the AVCA rankings, went 3-0 during the  week of Oct 8-14 as they picked up three non-conferencw wins. Colorado College is now 18-6 overall and 5-1 in SCAC play on the season. The Tigers are 8-2 in their last 10 matches.

Southwestern went 3-1 overall during the week. The Pirates now stand at 17-7 overall and 5-1 in league play on the season and are 7-3 in their last 10 matches. Southwestern was ranked 23rd in last week's rankings.
