SOUTHFIELDS, N.Y. - Six football student-athletes from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference were named to the 2012 D3 Senior Classic Preseason All-American team, the organization announced.
Trinity University placed four players on the team while Austin College had two players represented on the team.
Earning South First Team Defensive honors was senior defensive lineman Phillip Hiner-Leamon. Leamon was the SCAC's only first team selection.
Trinity senior offensive lineman Yustino Hong was selected to the South Second Team as was teammate Tom Puskarich (linebacker) and Kyle Trella (punter).
Reprsenting Austin College on the Second Team was defensive lineman James Roh and defensive back Sean Sweeney.
