LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Colorado College set a program record for goals in a single game as the Tigers closed out the 2013 regular season with a 31-2 win at Centenary. Colorado College rested most of its starting lineup ahead of this weekend's SCAC Championship game against Southwestern.

Centenary (0-7, 0-4 SCAC) finished its 2013 season with a 31-2 home loss to Colorado College. Garret Wick and Matt Ferrell scored the two Gents’ goals. The duo combined to score their two goals on just three shots.
Despite resting most of its starting lineup, Colorado
College set a program record for goals in a single game
and completed its regular season conference schedule with an
undefeated record for the fourth year in a row with Friday's 31-2
victory at Centenary. Junior midfielder Michael Idell posted career
highs with four goals and five points, while senior defender Nate
Pearson surpassed his career total with four goals. They were among
the 15 CC players who found the net at least one time. Seventeen
Tigers recorded one or more points. Freshman midfielder Ian Pelto
recorded three goals and an assist, while first-year midfielder Lee
Junkin also registered three markers. Senior attacker Steve Rijo
finished with a season-high four assists. Colorado College launched
74 shots, the third time this season it finished with at least that
many in a game, while allowing only 10. Freshman goaltender Chris
Maves made four saves while earning the victory in his first
collegiate start. It marked the eighth time this season and the
fifth contest in a row that CC has held an opponent to fewer than
five goals. The Tigers improved to 25-0 all-time in regular-season
conference games. Colorado College plays host to Southwestern
University in the SCAC Championship game on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Dallas had its 2013 season abruptly end this month due to
injury. Under the direction of first-year head coach Jeff Guy, the
Crusaders finished 1-6 including 1-3 in conference play. Having
wrapped three seasons of competition in program history, Dallas
will continue to build on the recruiting trail.
Southwestern (7-8, 3-2 SCAC) had the week off. The Pirates
will now gear up for the SCAC Championship game against Colorado
College in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Saturday April 27 at 1:30
p.m. MDT.
