Trinity's Jorgens Earns D3Soccer.com All-America Honor

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Trinity University sophomore midfielder Emily Jorgens added to her postseason honors as she was named a D3Soccer.com All-America, the website announced today.

Jorgens was named a second-team All-America by D3Soccer.com. The Austin, Texas native was selected as the 2012 SCAC Offensive Player-of-the-Year and was a First Team All-SCAC performer. This marks her third career All-America selection as Jorgens was a D3scoccer.com third-team All-America selection a year ago. Earlier this month, she was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association All-America second-team.

She was the catalyst for the Tiger offense as she led the league in assists (18), assists per game (1.00) and game-winning goals (4). She ranked second in the SCAC in a host of categories including points (34), points per game (1.89), shots (69) and shots per game (3.83). Jorgens was sixth in the league with eight goals (0.44 per game).

A second team All-SCAC selection last season, Jorgens is the fourth consecutive Trinity player to be named the league's Offensive Player-of-the-Year (Brianna Young 2009 Abigail Loar 2010-2011).
