Trinity's Boboy named to D3football.com Team of the Week

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Trinity's Tomy Boboy has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week, following his performance against Texas Lutheran University this past Saturday.

Boboy had 3.0 sacks and 4.0 tackles for loss in last week's game, leading a Tiger defense that held TLU to just 167 yards of total offense in a 31-7 win.  He has recorded nine tackles in the first two games of the season.

Trinity is 2-0 so far in 2012, moving up to 11th in the latest D3football.com poll.  The Tigers defeated Howard Payne University 56-7 to open the season.

Boboy was also named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts, as well as earning recognition as a Division III Athlete of the Week from Beyond Sports Network.

Head Coach Steve Mohr has led the Tigers to 13 consecutive wins in the regular season, dating back to the final game of 2010.  Trinity finished 10-1 last season, losing to McMurry University in the first round of the NCAA Playoffs.
