CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Southwestern University fell one spot to 14th and Trinity University improved two slots to 16th in the latest Golfworld WGCA coaches poll – the third ranking of the 2013 spring season.
In its last outing, Southwestern finished second out of eight teams at the West Region Invitational (April 8-9). Trinity finished in third at the same event.
Methodist maintained its place atop the latest Golf World/WGCA women's Division III coaches' poll. The Monarchs appear to be getting on a roll, having won their last two starts to make it five victories during the 2012-13 season.
At the No. 2 spot is Mary Hardin-Baylor, up from No. 4 in the previous poll. The Lady Crusaders earned eight of the 16 available first-place votes after winning the Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate last month, upsetting Methodist for the team title.
Washington U. in St. Louis dropped from No. 2 to No. 3 while George Fox and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps round out the top five.
