NORMAN, Okla. - The Southwestern University men's golf team is ranked 22nd in the latest Golfworld Nike coaches poll – the second ranking of the 2013 spring season.

The Pirates had been ranked 21st in the first spring poll.

At its last event, Southwestern finished seventh out of 15 teams at the University of La Verne West Cup, March 24-25

Centenary College (La.) was one of 16 schools outside of the top 25 to receive votes. The Gents placed fourth as they hosted the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate at the StoneBridge Golf Club in Bossier City, La., March 25-26.

Former SCAC member, Oglethorpe University remains the top-ranked program in the second men's Division III coaches' poll of the spring. The Stormy Petrels held a 308-307 advantage over Methodist in the overall vote, despite receiving six of 13 available first-place votes compared to just one for the Monarchs. Oglethorpe has finished no worse than third all season, the place they came in their most recent start at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, an event in which Methodist finished T-2.

Three other programs also received first-place votes: No. 3 Illinois Wesleyan (three), No. 5 Nebraska Wesleyan (two) and No. 6 Gustavus Adolphus (one).
