TRINITY LE OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a junior from League City, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Wednesday, October 19 through Tuesday, October 25. SCAC Golf Release (Week 7)
Le was among a group of four golfers, along with her teammate Emma Luna, that fired a round of 80 (+8) on Tuesday to finish one shot off the lead and tied for second at the rain-shortened Winstar Crusader Invitational in Thackerville, Oklahoma. Le led the entire 61-player field with 12 pars on Tuesday across the 5,837 yard, par 72 WinStar Golf Course and helped the Celts to a fourth-place team finish.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Ryleigh Erickson of Southwestern also tied for second with a round of 80 (+8), leading the Pirates to an SCAC-best third place finish among the 11-team field at the Winstar Crusadar Invitational. Sophomore Kimberly Burch of Dallas finished in 10th alone after her round of 82 (+10) Tuesday at the Winstar Crusader Invitaitonal. First-year Emmie Rhude of Schreiner finished in a tie for 12th after firing a round of 85 (+13) at the rain-shortened Winstar Crusader Invitational. Sophomore Braydee Frederick of Texas Lutheran paced the Bulldogs at the Winstar Crusader Invitational with a round of 88 (+16), good for 27th place among the 61-player field. Junior Madison Wing of Centenary led the Ladies with a round of 120 on Tuesday at the Winstar Crusadar Invational.
