COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Third-seeded Colorado College advanced to the SCAC tournament semifinals for the 15th consecutive year following a dramatic 3-2 win over sixth-seeded University of St. Thomas on Friday afternoon at Reid Arena on the campus of Colorado College. HOW IT HAPPENED
- St. Thomas took the first set 25-23 and was serving for the match at 24-23 before CC rallied to win the next two points and eventually the set at 30-28.
- The two teams exchanged commanding victories as CC won the third set 25-18 and St. Thomas rallied to take a 25-13 victory in the fourth, setting up a winner-take-all fifth and final set.
- UST jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the fifth set, but CC rallied to even the match at 3-3. The Tigers took their first lead of the set at 5-4 and never trailed again, winning and advancing with a 15-10 fifth set victory.
- Colorado College hit .562 in the decisive fifth set; compared to .263 for St. Thomas. CC's Isabella Lipacis had five of her game-high 22 kills in the fifth set.

NOTABLES
- UST Havel's 11 blocks are tied for the most in a single match this season and are the most in a SCAC tournament match Sunny Schaeuble of DePauw University had 11 against Southwestern at the 2001 championship.
- This was the third time in the current era (2012-present) that the #3/#6 match has gone to a fifth set. The third seed is a perfect 11-0 against the sixth seed over that span.
- This was the first-ever meeting between the two schools in the SCAC tournament.
