JUANRODRIGO LOPEZ AND JACE WARE OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, have been named the SCAC Men’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Monday, April 4 through Sunday, April 10. (SCAC Men's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 10)
Lopez, a senior from Houston, Texas, and Ware, a junior from Pampa, Texas, took on Vesko Lekovic and Hemanshu Rambojun of 23rd-ranked Southwestern at the No. 1 doubles line and walked away with an 8-4 victory in SCAC play on Saturday.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Carlos Esteban Rodero and first-year Oscar Roy of Southwestern continue to be a force at No. 3 doubles, posting an 8-0 win over TLU's Rien Solis and Quinn Johnson, an 8-1 win over St. Thomas's Andrew True and Dorian Cudina, and a 6-3 win over Prairie View's Diego Hatem and Joseph Gonzales. Seniors Christian Settles and Wilson Hamilton of Trinity reunited for the first time since the 2019 campaign in last weekend's shutout victory in conference play at Austin College Saturday. The duo posted a shutout line-one victory for the 14th overall victory of their partnership, but the first in line-one play.
