SUWANEE, Ga. – St. Thomas senior outfielder Dylan Lamb was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for week 10 of the 2024 season.
Lamb was outstanding at the plate last weekend for St. Thomas, leading the Celts to a key SCAC series win over Schreiner. Needing to keep pace to try and clinch a spot in the SCAC Tournament, Lamb batted an impressive .643 at the plate, going 9-for-14 with seven RBI and seven runs scored. Lamb accounted for six extra base hits, highlighted by a three triples performance in the rubber match victory on Saturday. He is just the third different player in SCAC history to hit three triples in one game, the first since 2005 and the first to do so in an SCAC contest. He drew two walks during the series to post an outstanding .706 on-base percentage and accounted for an overwhelming 1.500 slugging percentage.
Earlier this week, Lamb was also named SCAC Hitter of the Week.
The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its 13th season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.
Lamb is the fifth different SCAC athlete to earn D3baseball.com National Team of the Week honors this year and the first Celt since Chris Parson received recognition in the inaugural week of the 2023 season.
