BAILEY TISDALE OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a graduate student left-hander from Santa Fe, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 20 through Sunday, February 26. SCAC Softball Release - Week 3

Tisdale dazzled in the circle last week for the Celts, posting a perfect 3-0 record, tossing three complete games in wins over Houston-Victoria, McMurry and Texas-Dallas. In 21 innings of work, Tisdale allowed just 11 hits, struck out 14 batters and allowed just one unearned run while posting two shutouts. In the win over McMurry, she allowed just two hits without allowing a run in St. Thomas’ 1-0 victory. Her pristine 0.00 ERA last week dropped her season ERA from 4.67 to a league best 1.40.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year right-handed pitcher Emma Crow of Centenary picked up the win in game one of the Ladies' DH sweep over Millsaps at home on Tuesday, 5-2. Crow came on in relief and pitched six strong innings as she allowed one unearned run on three hits with a walk and a strikeout. She faced 20 batters in her longest outing of the season. Sophomore right-hander Kaedyn Filburn of Schreiner made two appearances last week, tossing 6.1 innings, allowing three earned runs and striking out three batters. Senior pitcher Amanda White of Texas Lutheran had an impressive weekend in the circle - going 1-1 with a save in three appearances against two tough teams in Hardin-Simmons and 20th-ranked Babson while maintaining a 0.93 ERA. In 15.0 innings of work, White allowed just 10 hits and struck out nine batters. Senior right-handed pitcher Emery Boettcher of Trinity led the Tigers to their first win of the season, defeating 18th-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor in game one of Saturday's road doubleheader. Boettcher went 1-1 on the week, falling to 20th-ranked Babson despite allowing just two earned runs on seven hits over 6.2 innings. She yielded just one run on five hits without walking a batter in the win over UMHB. Boettcher finished with three earned runs allowed over 11.2 innings for an ERA of 1.80 for the week.
