TRINITY PROVOST OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a senior from Portland, Ore., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 15 through Sunday, April 21. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 8
Provost continued her outstanding season, finishing fifth in the 200-meter dash last weekend at the highly competitive Rice Twilight Invitational. She crossed the line in 25.62, a season best for Provost who currently holds the top time going into the SCAC Championships this weekend.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Emma Fowkes of Colorado College turned in a pair of top three finishes last weekend at the Loper Invitational in Kearney, Nebraska. Fowkes finished third in both the 100- and 400-meter hurdles with times of 15.64 and 1:06.2 respectively. Her time in the 100 hurdles marks a season best for Fowkes.
