ALEXIS BODUNRIN OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a sophomore outside hitter from Tomball, Texas, has been named the SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, November 4 through Sunday, November 10. SCAC Volleyball Release (Week 11)
Bodunrin recorded a total of 46 kills, averaging an impressive 4.18 kills per set, with a hitting percentage of .327 in the Celts three matches on the week. Her powerful and efficient offense helped the Celts secure key points as the sophomore hammered home 16 kills in each of the team's conference wins against Schreiner and Concordia (Texas).
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior right side TJ Folse of Austin College averaged 4.14 kills with a .234 hitting percentage while adding 5.64 digs-per-set and five total blocks in the 'Roos four matches last week. She had double figures in kills in three of four matches, including 17 against No. 10-ranked ETBU and 20 in a road win at Concordia. She added a high of 24 digs against ETBU, and also had three service aces on the week. Sophomore outside hitter Brylie Nedd of Texas Lutheran led the Bulldogs offensively to end the regular season, tallying 36 kills (2.75 per set) on the weekend as the team went 3-0 to wrap up the conference schedule. Graduate outside hitter Mackenzie Logan of Trinity finished off the regular season schedule for the 18th-ranked Tigers with three SCAC victories. Logan finished with a team-best 24 kills in just eight sets played and recorded a .283 hitting percentage. Sophomore middle blocker Brooke Brilliant of Colorado College posted a career-high .714 hitting percentage and averaged 2.75 kills per set in Saturday's 3-0 sweep of Schreiner. Senior outside hitter Jacee Dinkins of McMurry averaged 2.53 kills and 3.00 digs per set as the War Hawks split their four matches on the week. Senior outside hitter Christina Kuras of Southwestern averaged 2.36 kills per set over 11 sets played and totaled 26 kills, her best game coming in the Pirates' five set match against McMurry where she tallied 14 kills. Over the three games she averaged a .286 hitting percentage.
