LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The American Volleyball Coaches Association released the Division III Coaches Top 25 poll Tuesday, and Trinity University joined fellow Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference programs Southwestern University and Colorado College among the field.
Trinity joined No. 4 Southwestern and No. 8 Colorado College in the national rankings at No. 20 after a successful weekend in league action.
Trinity moved to 17-5 on the season, and handed Southwestern the program's first loss of the season in a 3-2 defeat. Colorado College moved to 17-3, sweeping the divisional, but falling in a midweek match against NCAA Division II Colorado Christian University.
The teams will compete in non-conference action this weekend, before finishing the conference season at the cross-divisional October 22-23.
