LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The American Volleyball Coaches Association released the Division III preseason Coaches Top 25 poll Tuesday, and both Colorado College and Southwestern University moved up. Full Release
Colorado College moved up one spot to No. 4, while Southwestern climbed four spots to No. 7. Trinity University continues to receive votes, and is now just five spots out of the top 25.
Both Colorado College and Southwestern moved to 8-0 after successful weekends.
CC played at home in the Colorado College Invitational, defeating No. 11 Texas-Dallas, as well as Springfield (receiving votes). The Tigers have put together an impressive 24-3 set record thus far, with only three matches this season taking four sets to decide.
Southwestern traveled to San Antonio this weekend for the Trinity Fall Classic. They put together a perfect 4-0 record, not dropping a single set over the weekend. On the season, the Pirates hold a 24-4 set record.
Both teams will compete in the first SCAC Divisionals this weekend, before meeting for the first time on September 24 at Austin College.
