LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Three SCAC men's teams were in action this week - with all three participating in the Concordia (Texas) Linda Lowery Invitational.
Southwestern University led the way among the SCAC threesome, as the Pirates started their spring season on a high-note with a third place finish at the Linda Lowery Invitational. SU fired rounds of 303 and 296 for a two-day team score of 599 (+31).
The Pirates' Tyler Gammill competed individually and was outstanding, posting a one-under-par 141 and was just four strokes behind the leader. Sutherland Stith led the team with a one-over-par 143 for two rounds, finishing tied for third overall.
Led by an 18th-place individual finish by Logan Miller, Texas Lutheran produced an eighth-place team finish. The Bulldogs posted a team score of 324 on Tuesday after a 308 on Monday (632 total).
Centenary College kicked off its spring season with a 13th place finish, finishing with a two-round score of 674 (+106) at the 6,506-yard Par-71 Red River Place Country Club.
