LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Southwestern locked up at least a share of its first-ever SCAC football championship after Saturday's 35-0 shutout of Austin College.
Coupled with Trinity's 28-27 victory over Texas Lutheran, Southwestern has a two game lead in the conference standings with two games remaining.
The Pirates can lock up sole possesion of the title with a victory over Trinity next weekend in the team's final home game of the 2016 season.
