LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The American Volleyball Coaches Association released the Division III preseason Coaches Top 25 poll Wednesday and two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference programs made moves. Full Release
Colorado College moved up to No. 5 in the rankings from #9, while Southwestern University jumped five spots to No. 11. Trinity University is also receiving votes in the poll.
The Tigers hosted the Colorado College Classic over the weekend, and went 4-0 in a decisive fashion, not giving up a single set. They took the title for the event, and senior Abbe Holtze was named the tournament MVP.
Southwestern traveled to Tacoma, Washington for the Puget Sound Premier where they went 4-0. The weekend was highlighted by a five-set win over No. 13 Carthage.
Colorado College and Southwestern will meet for the first time on Saturday, September 24 at a cross-divisional hosted by Austin College.
