LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - All seven of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference baseball teams competed last week as conference play continued.
Southwestern University went 5-0 for the week, including a win over No. 5 University of Texas - Tyler. The Pirates also picked up a series sweep against Blackburn, outscoring the Beavers 49-2. In the first game of the series against Blackburn, Southwestern's Jeremy Rice pitched a 9.0 inning no-hitter, recording seven strikeouts and no walks.
Texas Lutheran University put together a 4-0 record last week, also earning a win over Blackburn before sweeping the conference series against Trinity University.
Centenary College went 3-0 in a series against Schreiner University, including a pair of run-ruled games. Austin College also won a conference series, going 2-1 against the University of Dallas.
