LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Trinity University women's tennis moved up one spot to No. 14 in the lastest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings, while Southwestern University took a big leap to No. 26.
The Tigers (11-7) have faced a tough schedule over the last two weeks, posting a 3-2 record against nationally ranked teams. Trinity's three wins came against #15 Johns Hopkins, #20 Skidmore and #27 Linfield.
The Pirates (12-1) moved their winning streak to 12 matches last week with wins over #27 Linfield, University of Texas-Tyler and Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The Pirates only loss this season came to NCAA Division II #42 St. Edward's University.
Both teams are back in action this weekend, playing East Texas Baptist and LeTourneau.
