MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Southwestern University's Brandon Fleischmann earned D3Football.com Team of the Week recognition after a successful weekend in league action.
Fleischmann was also named the SCAC Defensive Player of the Week Monday, after helping the Pirates to a 35-0 win over Austin College, and clinching at least a share of the SCAC football title for the first time.
In Saturday's game, Fleischmann collected a team-high 10 tackles, posted three and a half tackles for loss, including two sacks. He also broke up two passes and had a pair of quarterback hurries.
Southwestern will play their final home game this weekend as they take on Trinity University. A win in this game will give the Pirates sole posession of the SCAC title.
