KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Trinity University jumped three spots to No. 2 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll released Tuesday.
The Tigers are off to a 4-0 start this season, outscoring opponents 10-2. Their resume this season includes wins over in-state competition, Hardin-Simmons University, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and the University of Texas at Dallas.
Trinity is led in scoring by Austin Michaelis, who has recorded three goals. Daniel Ruano leads the team with two assists.
The Tigers will begin conference play this weekend with a rematch of the 2015 SCAC Championship, as they take on Colorado College Friday. They follow that up Sunday with a game against the University of Dallas.
