LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Seven of the league's eight volleyball teams were in action during the final full week of the 2016 regular season, including the league's three nationally-ranked teams.
No. 5 Southwestern dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 4 University of Texas-Dallas on Friday before rebounding with a 3-2 victory over No. 24 Hendrix College and a 3-0 sweep of University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday.
No. 6 Colorado College had just a single match over the weekend, easily disposing of Johnson & Wales (Denver), 3-0.
No. 16 Trinity defeated Hardin-Simmons University, 3-0, and Augsburg, 3-2, on Friday before splitting with University of Massachusetts (3-1 loss) and Mary Hardin-Baylor (3-1 win) on Saturday.
Austin College had a perfect 4-0 week, defeating Belhaven University (3-1) and LeTourneau (3-0) on Friday and Millsaps College (3-0) and Mills College (3-0) on Saturday.
