LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - In the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings, Trinity University and Southwestern University continue to climb.
The Tigers (9-6) moved up one spot to No. 15 in the rankings, while Southwestern (10-5) moved up five spots from No. 39 to 34.
Trinity has gone 2-1 over the past two weeks, including a win over #31 Gustavus Adolphus. Their only loss over the stretch came against #4 Middlebury College.
Southwestern has suffered three straight nationally-ranked losses since Saturday, but did post a pair of wins last week. The Pirates took down Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Linfield by identical scores of 8-1, while falling to #17 University of Texas-Tyler, 4-5, Middlebury, 2-7, and Gustavus Adolphus, 3-6.
Southwestern will compete againt East Texas Baptist and LeTourneau this weekend, while Trinity will face top-ranked Emory and Laredo Community College Saturday.
