Three Women's Soccer Student-Athletes Earn CoSIDA Academic All-America Recognition

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Three Trinity University women's soccer players were named to the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-America team Friday.

Hannah Booher, Jordan Leeper and Yasmeen Farra all earned third team honors for their performance both on and off the field.

Booher, a junior defender from Deer Park, Texas, holds a 3.86 GPA as a biology major. On the pitch, she has played and started in 18 games for the Tigers, totaling seven points -- two goals and three assists.

Jordan Leeper, a senior defender from Austin, Texas, posteda 3.75 GPA in communications. On the season, Leeper has posted two goals and nine assists, tied for the conference's top mark.

Booher and Leeper have been important pieces of a Trinity defense that has allowed just seven goals all season.

Yasmeen Farra, a senior midfielder from Austin, Texas, rounds out the honorees. Farra hold a 3.47 GPA in engineering at Trinity. This season, Farra had a breakout performance, leading the conference in goals scored, pointsand shots. She has tallied 14 goals in 22 games, while adding seven assists for 35 points. Seven of her 14 goals have been game-winning scores.

Trinity earned its eighth straight conference tournament title earlier this month, and began their NCAA tournament campaign. The Tigers earned wins in the first two rounds and will play Penn State Berks in the third round this weekend.
