LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - One more Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer team secured a spot in the SCAC Women's Soccer Championship this weekend.
There is now just one opening remaining for the 2016 tournament field, with the University of Dallas (4-11-2, 1-8-2 SCAC) and Austin College (3-11-2, 1-8-2 SCAC) battling it out.
Centenary College earned their spot in the conference tournament for the first time since 2013. The Ladies have also secured the No. 5 seed.
Trinity University (16-0, 10-0 SCAC) clinched the regular season championship with their 10th conference win of the season Sunday.
Southwestern University (10-6, 8-3 SCAC) fell to Trinity Friday night, but rebounded with a win over Schreiner University (8-6-3, 6-4-1 SCAC) on Sunday. Texas Lutheran University (7-4-4, 5-3-3 SCAC) also defeated Schreiner over the weekend.
