KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Trinity University senior Yasmeen Farra has been elected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Women's All-America First Team.
Farra was earlier selected for the NSCAA All-West Region First Team. The midfielder paced the Tiger women with 14 goals, and seven game-winners. Coupled with seven assists, Farra finished the season with a team-leading 35 points.
An engineering science major, Farra was previously tabbed for the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Third Team. She was also named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
Led by first-year Head Coach Dylan Harrison, the Tigers completed the campaign with a 23-1-0 record, and a #2 regular-season ranking. Trinity made it through the regular-season and the first three rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament with an unblemished record.
After winning a 21st SCAC Championship, the Tigers advanced to the NCAA Postseason event for the 22nd time. Trinity defeated Mount Union (OH) and Hanover (IN) College in the opening rounds at Bloomington, Illinois. The Tigers hosted and defeated Penn State Berks in the Round of 16, and were edged the next day in the Quarterfinals by Washington University-St. Louis (MO).
