LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Three SCAC men's teams were in action this past week, with all three competing at the Hardin-Simmons University Abilene Intercollegiate at Diamondhead Golf Course in Abilene.
Southwestern took three strokes off their opening round to post a 298 in round two, finishing in third place with a two-day total of 599 in the eight team field. First-year golfer Cade Osgood led the Pirates with 149 strokes (74-75) to finish tied for seventh.
Texas Lutheran posted a fifth-place finish as the Bulldogs shot a second-day 306 to finish with a final score of 611. TLU senior Kraig Zimmerhanzel tied for 12th after a second-round, 1-over 72. Zimmerhanzel carded a 78 on Monday.
Centenary finished strong with a second-round total of 315 after an opening round 328. The Gents, who placed eighth, were led by Brodey Warner who shot rounds of 75 and 77 to finish at 152 (tied for 15th).
Concordia University Texas and Mary Hardin-Baylor tied for the team title with scores of 587.
