LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The 2017 SCAC baseball season got underway this week as four of the league's seven teams took to the diamond and posted a cumulative 7-6 mark.
Centenary posted three straight wins over East Texas Baptist University in a road series, outscoring the Tigers 42-13 over the stretch. The Gents moved to 6-1 for the season after those victories.
The University of Dallas posted three straight wins to move to 4-2 for the season, defeating Hendrix College, Concordia University (TX) and Hardin-Simmons University.
Texas Lutheran University went 2-1 over the weekend, defeating Hendrix and UT-Dallas. Southwestern University got the season started this weekend in Alabama, also going 2-1 over the stretch.
Schreiner University took two games from Howard Payne in a series over the weekend, posting wins of 6-3 and 8-5.
