Trinity's Jordyn White Named South Region Women’s Field Athlete of the Year

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- On Tuesday, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the regional athletes and coaches of the year for the 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field season.

Sophomore Jordyn White continues to rack up accolades for her impressive 2021 track and field season. The sophomore was awarded the South Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year by the USTFCCCA. 

White leaped into the history books for the Tigers on May 20th at the Gregory Invitational, hosted by North Central College in Illinois.The Sophomore jumped 5.92 m in the long jump and moved into first-place all time in the Trinity record book, which was also good enough to move White into third-place nationally. 

The long jumper is coming off of  USTFCCCA All-Region honors for the South.
