HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trinity sophomore Jordyn White was named the Women's Athlete of the Meet after she won the 100 meter hurdles, took second in the 100 meter dash, long jump, triple jump, and third in the 200 meter dash. White was also a member of the winning 4X100 meter relay. She totaled 42.5 points in becoming the first Trinity student-athlete to be named Women's Athlete of the Meet since Bailey Drury in 2015.
- On Sunday, Trinity took home wins in nine events (5,000 meter, 4X100 meter relay, 1,500 meter, 100 meter hurdles, long jump, 800 meter, high jump, 400 meter hurdles) including the top five spots in the 100 meter dash.
- The Texas Lutheran duo of Jacqueline Mora (59.41) and Ja'Keia Williams (1:01.45) finished first and second, respectively, in the 400 meter dash. Mora and Williams teammed up with Kaylyn Samano and Caeli Taylor to win the 4X400 meter relay with a time of 4:06.02.
- Southwestern fared well in field events as the Pirates' Tiamara Hill-Johnson won the discus with a throw of 129' 10". Teammate Erin Toro finished second with a mark of 119'. Toro also finished second in the javelin with a throw of 101' 4". Teammate Taylor Hubbard was third in the event with a mark of 98' 1".
