LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Austin College senior guard Kacie West was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for the week of January 24th, it was announced by D3hoops.com.
West averaged 17.0 points to help Austin College improve to 4-0 on the year as the 'Roos swept a pair of games with Southwestern. West shot 50 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from three-point range over the course of the weekend, scoring 14 points in the first matchup of the weekend before pouring in 20 points in the team's win on Saturday. West also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals-per-game while committing just one turnover while playing all but seven minutes in the two contests.
Currently, West ranks seventh in the SCAC averaging 14.0 points-per-game and is tied second in the league with 2.8 steals per contest.
West is the first SCAC women’s student athlete to earn D3hoops.com National TOTW recognition since St. Thomas' Sheridan Hopkins was recognized in week three of the 2019-20 season. She is the first Austin College athlete to be named to the team since Bryce Frank earned the distinction in week 12 of the 2018-19 season.
