LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The seventh week of SCAC volleyball continued seeing No.2 Trinity and Southwestern going 2-0 with four teams splitting games.

No.2 Trinity (12-2) wrapped up regular season play this week with 3-1 and 3-0 wins over Texas Lutheran (1-11) on Friday. Emma Funk led the Tigers with 19 total kills and eight blocks in the two wins. She posted 11 kills in the opening match, then led the way with eight more in the second. Avery Tuggle finished the first match with a career-best nine blocks and added eight kills and six digs as well as three aces. She led the team with 14 digs and chipped in with six kills in the second match. Sami Lin tied Tuggle for the team lead with three aces in the opening match, adding 12 digs. Annie Rose Leggett led the team with 14 digs in the opening match, then paced the Tigers with six service aces in the finale. The Bulldogs were led by Madison Weisinger, who contributed five kills and two solo blocks in the first match. Lexi Morris collected 13 digs for the Bulldogs, and Hayden Smyers recorded five digs to lead the Bulldogs in the series finale. Tanyse Moehrig had three block assists, and Adrienne Galaviz dished out 10 assists.

Southwestern (7-3) had a pair of 3-0 victories over Centenary (3-9) on Saturday. Emma White led the way for the Pirates in the first match with 11 kills on a .348 hitting clip, committing just three errors in her 23 attacks. White also had two aces to finish with 13 points while recording eight digs. Ali Grona led with a team-high 12 digs. In match two, setters Katelyn Whitehead and Lauren Crabtree tied for a team-high 17 assists with the team posting 41 kills. Audrey Schumacher, White, and Riley Brantley led with eight kills each. Centenary was paced by Jaycie Proctor who collected 36 digs on the day, with 22 in the second match. Caroline Richmond posted 24 digs and 15 kills, with Alyssa Davis adding 16 kills and 14 digs on the day.

St. Thomas (6-6) split games over the week with a 3-1 victory over Austin College on Friday. Allysa Ajlouny and Alaina Lanik led the Celts offense with 14 and 12 kills, respectively. Kelsie Walker dished out a game-high 31 assists to compliment her three service aces. On the defensive end, Kaylyn Latin recorded a game-high 36 digs.

Austin College (7-5) earned its split with St. Thomas with a 3-0 victory in the second match on Friday. Victoria Smith and Olivia Linton had nine kills apiece to lead the ‘Roos. Riley Abernathy had eight kills and 20 digs in the victory. Brooklyn Talley chipped in with 18 assists and 12 digs, and Mari Prazak once again paced the 'Roos with 24 digs.

Dallas (3-9) also split games over the week, posting a 3-0 victory over Schreiner in Saturday’s first match. In the win, the Crusaders were led by Dayjah Whyte with 11 kills. Abigail Porras also had double- digit kills with 10 and Cassie Dyoub contributed a personal-high nine kills for the win. Moriah Delgado surpassed 30 digs for the first time in her career, with 33.

Schreiner (3-9) earned its split with a 3-1 victory in Saturday’s second match against Dallas. The Mountaineers were led by Kayla Lofland with a game-high 21 kills, with Amanda Combs chipping in 10. Emily De Hoyos had 26 assists, and Elora Reyes had a team-high 24 digs.

The eighth and final week of the SCAC Volleyball regular season takes place this week, with five conference doubleheaders on the schedule.
