ANNIE WALLACE OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a sophomore infielder on the softball team from Boerne, Texas,, has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week beginning March 22.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.

Wallace is involved in many different organizations on campus, which includes the Student Activities Board, the Ancient and Honorable Order, President of Delta Phi Epsilon, Mountaineer Mentor Program, Student Government Association, as well as being a Schreiner Ambassador.

“Annie exemplifies what I believe it means to be a student-athlete. Tackling her schoolwork, softball, and her other responsibilities on campus with respect, integrity and with a smile on her face the whole time. She is a great example for everyone on and off campus. Annie always puts in the extra work and effort to earn the trust of people she is working with and for. She is not only a great representative of our softball program and athletics, but I believe the university as well.” Says Schreiner’s head softball coach Alexis Lynn.

Whether it is on or off campus, Wallace is committed to building strong relationships with others and supporting the communities around her.
