Men's Basketball - Week 3
The final full week of non-conference play prior to conference was a successful one for SCAC men’s basketball teams as the league posted a cumulative 12-9 mark, including two more victories for undefeated Trinity (4-0) as the Tigers are unbeaten through four games for just the second time since the 2008-09 year. In total, six SCAC squads are playing at a .500 or better clip going into SCAC the opening weekend of league action. SCAC play opens Friday as Trinity hosts Southwestern (0-7), St. Thomas (6-1) travels to Dallas (2-5), Schreiner (3-3) will be on the road at Texas Lutheran (1-6) and Centenary (3-3) faces Austin College (4-3) in Sherman. Women's Basketball - Week 3
Conference teams are set to tangle on Friday as SCAC play opens this weekend with eight of the nine league teams set to compete. Heading into SCAC action, four teams are currently playing a .600 or better basketball, led by Texas Lutheran (5-1), Trinity (4-1), Colorado College (4-2) and Dallas (5-3). The Crusaders have won five of their first eight contests for the first time since the 2016-17 season. SCAC action starts Friday as Southwestern (1-8) hosts Trinity, St. Thomas (1-6) travels to Dallas, Schreiner (1-3) takes on Texas Lutheran in Seguin and Austin College (1-5) squares off against Centenary (1-5) in Sherman.
