SUWANEE, Ga. -- The SCAC office today announced the bracket for the 2024 women's tennis tournament, which begins Friday, April 26 in Sherman, Texas. Austin College is serving for host of this year's event. Official Tournament Website | Women's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 12
Trinity University is the top seed for this year's tournament, and the Tigers will attempt to earn their 26th SCAC title in program history. Last season, Trinity defeated Southwestern University, in the championship match, 5-2, which was played at Southwestern.
In the most recent ITA rankings (through matches of April 17), both Trinity and Southwestern are nationally and regionally-ranked headed into the SCAC Tournament. Trinity is No. 14 nationally and fourth in the West Region while Southwestern is 41st nationally and seventh in the West.
As the top seed for this weekend's championship, Trinity earned a first round bye and begins play on Saturday, April 27.
Action will take place primarily on the Austin College campus courts with courts at Sherman High School planned as an alternate site. The complete schedule is listed below:
