Trinity's women won their ninth consecutive SCAC title, scoring 999 total points - more than 300 points ahead of Centre College in second place. Trinity last swept the men's & women's championships in 2004.
All-American Ruth Hahn was named the SCAC Women's Diver of the Meet for the second straight season. She won the three-meter championship to start today's action, and was second on the one-meter board earlier in the week.
The top two in the women's 1650 free set new SCAC records, and Gustafson's time of 17:15.64 was the second-fastest time ever coming into the SCAC Championships this season. Gustafson also broke her own school record (2011) with this year's time.
In the 200 backstroke, the top Tiger women's finisher was Rachel Hure's fifth-place time of 2:14.02.
Lydia Jones was third in the women's 100 free (53.14), while teammate Rachel Berude's time of 53.55 was good enough for a fourth-place finish.
In a very competitive race, Kelly Holton was Trinity's top finisher in the 200 breaststroke. Holton was fifth with a time of 2:30.81.
In the 200 butterfly, Megan Varner led three Trinity women in the top five in the event, finishing second with a time of 2:10.06. Leslie Butts and Megan O'Rell were fourth and fifth, respectively.
The final event was the 400 freestyle relay, and although Trinity had pretty much clinched the overall SCAC Championships, the Tigers still came out strong as Trinity won both the consolation and championship finals.
