Centre's Ross Named to NABC All-America Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Greg Ross of Centre College was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III All-America team in an announcement made today.

Ross was honored as a Third Team selection.

Ross, a senior forward from Cincinnati, Ohio and the 2011-12 SCAC Player-of-the-Year, finished second in the conference in scoring with 16.5 points per game and led the league in rebounding with 8.0. He also finished sixth in the SCAC in field goal percentage 52.1 percent and first in free throw percentage at 86.7 percent.

Ross was the leading scorer and rebounder on a Centre team that finished 18-9 overall with a 10-6 record in the SCAC and advanced to the championship game of the conference tournament. Following the season, Ross was named First Team All-SCAC for the second year in a row and honored as the league's Player of the Year.

Earlier in the week Ross was named to the D3hoops.com All-South First Team and NABC All-District First Team.

Ross is just the 10th player in league history to earn All-America honors from the NABC since the organization started announcing the award in 1967.
