CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Centre College senior Emily Bachert was named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-America (NGCA) first team, the organization announced today.
Bachert was the only Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference student-athlete named to the All-America team. She is currently competing in the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship in Angola, Ind.
Bachert ended the season ranked third in the Division III Golfstat rankings. She won five out of ten tournaments this season, bringing her career total to 18 victories.
She becomes just the second women's golfer in SCAC history to be named a four-time NGCA All-America selection. DePauw University's Sarah Gates was also a four-time All-America selection from 2004-07.
