INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference had ten student-athletes earn all-America
honors after the third day of competition at the 2012 NCAA Division
III Swimming & Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium on the

Sewanee sophomore Astrid Escobar earned all-America honors with a
seventh-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. The Florida
native, who won both the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke at the SCAC
Championships will also swim in tomorrow’s 200-yard

Earning honorable mention all-America honors was Sewanee junior
Phillip Link. Making his second appearance at the NCAA National
Meet, Link placed 13th in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of
56.71. (Interview)
The Colorado College men's 800-yard freestyle relay team of Kevin
Dorff (sophomore), Matt Nadel (freshman), Devin Wahl (senior), and
Jordan DeGayner (senior), finished in 12th place with a time of
6:45.86, a new school record - earning the foursome honorable
mention all-America honors. (Interview)
The final all-American honors came as the Centre Women’s
880-yard freestyle relay team of Colleen Maggard (senior), Holly
Oatman (junior), Hadley Judson (freshman) and Clark Weber (senior)
finished in 16th place after posting a time of 7:44.37. It was just
the second ever Centre relay team to earn all-American honors, the
first coming back in 2009. (Interview)
Other highlights from the third day of competition include senior
Courtland Day of Sewanee who finished 20th in the 100-yard
breaststroke after posting a time of 57.37.
On the women’s side, freshman Danielle Wahl of Colorado
College competing in the 200-fly finished 24th in a time of
2:10.53. Her final event of the 2012 NCAA Championships is
Saturday's 1,650 free.
The 2012 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships conclude
tomorrow.

Friday's participants from the SCAC, as well as some of the
