Montclair State, which is currently ranked sixth in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll, earned an at-large bid after falling to fourth-ranked The College of New Jersey, 2-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference championship game on Saturday. It is the third NCAA appearance for the Red Hawks and first since 2005.

The winner of Wednesday's Rhodes vs. MSU game will travel to and take on No. 1 ranked Salisbury on Saturday, November 12.
