SUWANEE, Ga. - Centre College and Trinity University tee it up Saturday afternoon in San Antonio with the 2011 SCAC football title and a berth in the NCAA tournament on the line. Centre College Preview | Trinity University Preview
Centre is 7-0 (4-0 SCAC) and ranked 25th by D3football.com. Trinity is 8-0 (4-0 SCAC) and ranked 13th by the American Football Coaches Association; 18th by D3football.com.
This is the first time two SCAC teams have met this late in the season with undefeated marks since the historic top 10 matchup between Millsaps College and Trinity on Nov. 1, 2008. It is just the third-ever match-up between SCAC football teams while both are both ranked in the top 25.
The SCAC's Russell Kramer, Director of Communications and New Media, caught up with Centre head coach Andy Frye and Trinity defensive coordinator/assistant head coach Jim Dawson to get both coaches' perspective entering Saturday's contest.
