Austin College split its two matches over the weekend, getting a 1-0 victory over Centre before falling 3-2 to Sewanee on Sunday. Against Centre, Kelsey D'Amore's penalty kick in the 38th minute was all the 'Roos would need as Maya Warnock earned her sixth shutout of the season. In their four home games this season, two have been won by a D'Amore penalty kick. On Sunday, Sewanee took a 1-0 halftime lead and surged to a 3-0 lead with two goals in the first four minutes of the second half, and the 'Roos were unable to overcome that margin despite two late goals from Lauren Scott on an assist from D'Amore and Natalie Nelms on a feed from Maddy Millender. Warnock made 11 saves in defeat. This week the 'Roos take on Hendrix on Sunday.

Birmingham-Southern
split on the road this week, defeating Agnes Scott College on Friday, 2-0, but falling to Hendrix on Sunday, 3-1. The win against ASC was BSC's third shutout of the year. Senior Alicia Plotky and sophomore Amanda Babbin scored the two goals in that game, and Plotky also scored the lone goal against Hendrix. Her career total points now stands at 107, eight more than the previous program record. BSC stays on the road this weekend, traveling to take on Millsaps, Friday, and Rhodes, Sunday.

Friday night, #12 Centre fell 1-0 to Austin College in regulation play. Sunday morning, Centre defeated the University of Dallas 3-0. Centre's next match-up is Friday at Sewanee.

Dallas
went 1-1 in two SCAC home games on the week. The Lady Crusaders were triumphant on Friday over Sewanee: University of the South, 3-0, but fell Sunday amid inclement weather to Centre College by a score of 3-0. Dallas boasts a 10-4 record overall and sits at 2-2 in conference play. Up next for the squad is a Friday, Oct. 14 match-up with Hendrix College in Conway, Ark.

The Warriors evened their SCAC record at 2-2 with a pair of home wins over the weekend. On Friday, Hendrix recorded their fifth shutout of the season, topping Oglethorpe 3-0. Junior forward Mel Roach gave the Warriors an early lead just 1:47 into the contest. Freshman Kerry Moon scored in the 42nd minute with an assist from senior Tristan Stolz. Junior Rebecca Rahn scored the final goal in the 57th minute on a pass from junior Emilia Bussard. Senior Allison Mosley came up with three saves and junior Megan Childress had two stops as they split duty in goal. Hendrix picked up the program's first ever victory over Birmingham-Southern with a 3-1 win on Sunday. Roach scored the first goal in the 25th minute. Rahn made the game 2-0 when her corner kick went through the keeper's hands in the 42nd minute. After a Panther goal in the 57th minute, senior midfielder Hannah McGrew scored with an assist from junior Ana Contreras in the 74th minute. Mosley had 10 saves for the Warriors. This weekend, Hendrix will play their final two home matches of the season, hosting Dallas on Friday and Austin on Sunday.

Millsaps
dropped two games this past weekend in Texas to the Southwestern Pirates and the Trinity Tigers. The Millsaps Majors Soccer Team fell to the Southwestern Pirates, 2-0, on Friday evening. It was the Majors first conference loss of the season as they were outshot 11-7. Sophomores Dorthea Staursky and Grace Gremillion led the Majors with two shots each. Millsaps returned to action on Sunday to face No. 5 Trinity. It was all Tigers as they cruised to a 10-1 win. Junior Dora Lambert picked up the lone gone while senior goalkeeper Molly Beth Jourdan had 16 saves.

Oglethorpe dropped their only contest of the week at Hendrix on Friday, 3-0. The Petrels faced an uphill battle all evening long after the Warriors jumped in front less than two minutes into the contest en route to victory. It was at the 1:47 mark of the first half when the Warriors' Mel Roach broke free for a one-on-one with Petrel keeper Elia Breijo that Roach finished in the left corner of the goal to give Hendrix the early lead. Hendrix built on the lead just 5 minutes prior to the half on a strike from Kacey Hight. The Warriors finished the scoring in the 56th minute on a tally from Rebecca Rahn. Hendrix controlled the pace throughout, cracking 25 shots to the Petrels 7. The Warriors put 14 of those chances on target, eleven of which Breijo saved. The Petrels are now 1-6-1 on the season and will return home for a non-conference tilt with LaGrange College this Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. on Salamone Field.

Rhodes
split their first away weekend of SCAC play.  The Lynx fell to Trinity University 6-0 on Friday evening and rebounded to defeat Southwestern University 1-0.  The Lynx return to SCAC play this weekend as they host Oglethorpe University and Birmingham Southern College.

Sewanee
split both its matches on the Tigers annual trip to the state of Texas. After falling to Dallas 3-0, head coach Pat Johnson's squad picked up the offense Sunday with a 3-2 win at Austin College. In the match against the Kangroos Sewanee had a pair of goals from freshman midfielder Jamie Samociuk and senior forward Faith Spencer.

Southwestern
went 1-1 on the week to move to 5-5-1 on the year and 1-2 in the SCAC with a 2-0 win over Millsaps on Friday night before falling to Rhodes on Sunday 1-0. Gusting winds made things challenging on Friday night as the Pirates hosted their first game under the lights. SU scored their first goal on a counter-attack started by Nonaka in goal and was ended by a shot 25 yards out by Jillian Curran, assisted by Rebecca Petro and Danielle De Los Santos. in the 20th minute Chelsea Letzer found De Los Santos for the Pirates' second goal and then defense took over, holding Millsaps scoreless the rest of the way. Rain finally came to Central Texas on Sunday morning and on a wet field most of the first half was defined by ball control by Rhodes College and a strong defense by the Pirates.  Sarah Nonaka came up big with three saves early in the first half.  Rhodes eventually scored the game winner in the 73rd minute and SU's late attacks were fruitless as they dropped their third conference match of the season. The Pirates head to San Antonio to face Trinity on Friday night at 6pm.

#4 Trinity
scored a pair of SCAC wins over the weekend, defeating Rhodes on Friday and Millsaps on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers won a 6-0 shutout on Friday night, then scored a 10-1 victory on Sunday. Annie Kendzior and Stephanie Segovia each scored a hat trick in Sunday's game, marking the first time two Trinity players scored three or more goals in a game since the 2007 season. Trinity has now had four hat tricks this season, with Segovia picking up two of them. Segovia is the first Trinity player to have two games in the same season with three or more goals since Jennifer Wray in 2005. The Tigers have had four hat tricks in one season just once before this year: 1999. Friday's win over Rhodes was the 118th career victory for Head Coach Lance Key, making him Trinity's all-time wins leader. He passes Nick Cowell for the top spot on the list, who coached the Tigers from 1991-98. Trinity will host Southwestern in its only game this week. The Tigers defeated the Pirates 3-0 in Georgetown last year, and also won 4-0 the last time the teams met in San Antonio. Southwestern did edge Trinity 2-1 in 2008.
